Newborn Sleep Routine-Claudia’s Story

I’m back in London and with a family for their fourth baby, Claudia who was 12 days late, unusual for a fourth baby to be so late.  She is one week old today but as a result of being overdue she is already able to focus well and cooing at her toys but not smiling yet.  I arrived yesterday but, having done my routine several times before, Claudia’s mother was already off to a good start with breastfeeding and starting the routine with structuring days. Claudia is waking twice through the night between 8 pm and 8am.  Yesterday, with some added winding and expressing and top up bed time bottle, Claudia woke once in the night, she is usual for week one of my help.  Claudia went to bed at 8pm, woke at 2.50am for a 25 minute feed and settled back until I woke her in the morning at 7am.  What a great start!

I will keep you up to date with my progress.  I’m here for another four weeks which will be plenty of time to get her sleeping 12 hours through the night.

If any one would like to ask questions or needs information on any aspect of my routine and the baby world, do ask!
